About Email Dive

The Email Dive reason: Helping you grow your business with the right email marketing software.

Besides CRM software and a few other categories, email marketing is one of those categories where finding the right software for your business is both hard (because of countless options to choose from) and exciting (again, because of countless options to choose from).

There are 1,000+ email marketing software programs floating around the internet right now. Each one is built for a unique target audience, has unique features, a distinct UI, and a different price point. Worse still, each software company is actively trying to convince you that you should pick them over thousands of others.

Every business need is different, which means it becomes important for you to choose the right email marketing software for your business. You don’t want to overpay for software and end up not using many of its features because they don’t relate to your business. Similarly, you don’t want to pick a tool just because it’s the cheapest one out there, only to realize down the line that it doesn’t do a few important things you need it to do.

Choosing email marketing software that matches your needs is hard. And more noise than signal on the internet makes it even harder. That means you need the right kind of software buying advice from the right kind of folks to make the right kind of decisions. That’s a lot of “rights.” This is exactly where Email Dive jumps in to make all of this easy for you.

The human behind Email Dive

Dhruvir Zala

I’m Dhruvir Zala, the founder and writer here. I have been SaaS blogging, testing, and writing about all sorts of business software for SMBs since 2021. When I was doing my BBA (Hons.) in Marketing at Ahmedabad University, a friend introduced me to the concept of blogging and also introduced me to software like Notion, Obsidian, and the like. This was the starting point that eventually ignited my passion for blogging, specifically SaaS blogging. Over the years, I have worked with countless SaaS companies and helped them increase their revenue with my knowledge of blogging, SEO, keyword research, and all-things-inbound-marketing.

I work remotely from my hometown in Gujarat, a beautiful state in western Bharat (I prefer Bharat over India).

While I am currently the sole operator at Email Dive, I regularly consult friends on LinkedIn who also happen to work in the email marketing industry. Whenever I’m writing a new article, I’ll occasionally reach out to someone who knows and uses the software I’m writing about, and get their honest, hands-on take on their experience with it. Whenever I seek help from someone and end up using their input in the article, I’ll highlight that so my reader knows where it came from. But the majority of the writing in the articles is directly derived from my own deep diving into the software and using the hell out of it.

Why Email Dive?

I started Email Dive to solve one of my own problems: finding the best email marketing software for my online businesses. But the more I researched, the more confused I became. There are over 1,000 email marketing platforms to choose from, and each one is tailored to a specific audience. There is simply no one-size-fits-all solution.

That’s when I realized many others were likely facing the same challenge. Hence, this blog. But that’s not the only reason.

Email is one of the very few marketing channels that’s going to survive everything, I feel like. It’s an owned audience channel. No matter what type of business you run, if you have a way to make people subscribe to your email list, you can talk with each of your customers in a highly personalized manner, earn their trust, and grow your revenue. Unlike social media, email is not at the mercy of an algorithm. It’s infrastructure. It’s the most intimate way of connecting with your customers.

Ray Tomlinson invented email in 1971. It’s 2026 today. Since the early 2000s, a group of pessimistic folks has been saying that email is on its deathbed. However, email was, is, and will continue to be one of the primary ways businesses interact with their customers without distraction and pitch their products or services as effectively as possible. The email marketing software helps you do all of this effortlessly, but only if you choose the “right” one for your business.

My goal with Email Dive is to test and use each email marketing tool in real-life situations and present my honest findings in a simple, clear, and concise way, so you can make confident, informed decisions about the right email software for your business.

We test and thoroughly use every email marketing software we write about. To learn more about the whole process, please check out Email Dive’s methodology.
